All writers in the house get in here, An international journal dedicated to literary translation and contemporary writing, calls for submission to their Experimental Translation Feature.
The Experimental Translation Feature by 'Asymptote Journal' seeks to celebrate the radical nature of all translation by focusing on the use of unconventional ways of presenting a foreign text in the English language. Some practices might involve homophonic or machine translation, erasure or other degradations, marginalia or collage, cross-genre or cross-modal transformations and adaptions of ancient texts to contemporary contexts. Asymptote hopes to see source materials from all parts of the world, although submissions should be accessible (primarily) in English.
Submissions should be no more than 15 pages (single-spaced poetry or double-spaced prose). The deadline is 1 November.
