A bomb threat on-board a Lisbon-bound passenger plane, forced authorities to ground the flight at Faro airport in Portugal's southern region of Algarve, a popular tourist destination among British holidaymakers.
According to locals, all 38 passengers on the TAP flight TP1900 were promptly evacuated.
A spokesman for TAP Portugal said: 'There was a bomb threat and the plane was handed over to the authorities for inspection.'The passengers have been removed.'
Faro airport has been put on the second-highest 'orange' alert.
