As we celebrate a new dawn in Nigeria,let's also celebrate Prof. Jega

In the runoff to the 2015 general elections in Nigeria many doomsday prophet predicted that Nigeria will become history and that there will be bloodbath, but at the end of the day we stood tall and proved to the whole world that we can handle our situations maturely with the peaceful conduct of the 2015 elections.

Even though a lot happened in the course of campaign, during and after the elections and even at the national collation centre, all of which had become history because of the new dawn we are witnessing today that only reminded us of October 1, 1960 when the Nigerian flag was hoisted.

Two men stood out and made all possible and they are former President Goodluck Jonathan who conceded defeat even before the final announcement of result and Professor Attahiru Jega who in my own view organized the most keenly contested election in the history of Nigeria and who in the face of provocation at the collation centre calmed all nerves with his super being temperament.. 

The two are the true heroes of today, while a lot of people had celebrated Dr. Ebele Jonathan and some even trekked for him in solidarity we eagerly await the #TrekForJega the true hero.
