Are from Africa and a writer, then this is for you: DEADLINE FOR ENTRY IS OCTOBER 31, 2015.
The Miles Morland Foundation (MMF) invites applications to the 2015 Morland Writing Scholarships.
The MMF established the scholarships to give writers of fiction and
non-fiction the financial freedom they need to write. Scholars writing
fiction will receive a grant of £18,000, paid over the course of twelve
months. Scholars writing non-fiction will receive a grant of £27,000,
paid over the course of eighteen months.
The Scholarships are open to anyone writing in English who was born
in Africa or both of whose parents were born in Africa. To apply,
candidates should submit a published work of 2000-5000 words, or an
extract from a longer published work. The deadline is 31 October.
