Happy Birthday to Prof. Wole Soyinka as he clocks 81 today, born on July 13, 1934 (Akinwande Oluwole Babatunde Soyinka) in Abeokuta Ogun State Nigeria...but popular known as Professor 'Wole Soyinka. He his a renown playwright and Poet. He was awarded the 1986 Nobel prize in Literature, the first African to be honoured and same year he was awarded the Commander of the Federal republic CFR in Nigeria.
A strong critic of oppressive and military government in Africa. he was forced into exile during the Military regime of the late Gen. Sani Abacha in Nigeria.
