CALL FOR ENTRIES: Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Awards. Deadline 25 Jan.

The Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Awards calls for submission in the following categories:

• The Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Prize – for a published novel
  –  The winner will receive £10,000 (15,120 US$).
• The Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Prize – for an unpublished novel
  – The winner will be offered the opportunity to complete a creative writing residency at a prestigious university and career guidance from Wilbur’s literary agents at Tibor Jones & Associates.
• The Author of Tomorrow Prize – for Short Stories
  – Open to those aged between twelve and twenty-one. The winner will receive £1,000 (1,512US$) and a framed certificate.

The Awards are dedicated to “empowering young writers from across the globe, championing the adventure writing genre and the promotion of literacy”.

The Awards are open to writers around the world, but submissions should be written in English. The deadline is 25 January.
