Do you write African Language Poetry! If yes this is for you. Modern Poetry in Translation is calling for entries for translations of poetry from African languages this summer.
MPT only publish translations of poetry (and not original English-language poetry) and the translations must be previously unpublished. MPT welcome work from any age, but have a preference for contemporary work.
You are welcome to send submissions of up to six poems. You must be able to obtain rights for the reproduction of these translations both in MPT and online on their site. They pay a fee to contributors.
Deadline for submissions for this issue is 16 May.
