First Global Science Forum on African Soil Calls for Investment in Science and Technology by Identifying and Eliminating Barriers to Education, Funding and Support; Highlights Contributions of Women in STEM on International Women’s Day.

An unprecedented coalition of African and world leaders today convened at the first-ever Next Einstein Forum Global Gathering, issuing a joint call to action for increased investment and support for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in Africa. The event marks a historic first step in charting a new course for science-led development in Africa.

Meet 15 of Africa's Most Brilliant Young Scientists

Meet these amazing 15 brilliant and young African scientists that will be impacting Africa and the World at large soon as they join over 1,000 people from more than 100 countries for the first global gathering of African scientists, the 'Next Einstein Forum' in Dakar, Senegal.

The group of 15 talents, were selected for the impact of their work and to showcase some of the incredible research that Africa's scientists and technologists are doing. Their resumes include; research on the ability to predict biological outbreaks that are bound to happen, the use of green chemistry to solve fresh water issues, the creation of bioreactors that could save a city's water supply, the causes of disease and immunity and predicting global behaviour through IT systems.
