DasukiGate: Falana drags Dasuki and his accomplices to ICC for diverting Arms deal fund

A Human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mr. Femi Falana has dragged the embattled former National security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, and ex-finance minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in a petition to ICC Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, he asked the court to investigate the alleged $2.1b arms purchase scandal. He also said the actions of the former National Security adviser, and his accomplices, amount to crimes against humanity.

According to Punch, he also alleged that “the sum of $322m and £5.5m from the money stolen and stashed abroad by the late Gen. Sani Abacha, allegedly transferred to Dasuki by a former Finance Minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, to prosecute the war on terror, had been illegally diverted.”

According to reports in The Nation, The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is currently on the trail of two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) bigwigs who may have been implicated in the ongoing $2.1 billion arms deal investigation.

I paid Dasuki $322m from Abacha fund - Okonjo Iweala

And the revelation continues, Former Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo Iweala yesterday said she had paid former National Security Adviser to the President, Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd) $322m (about N63billion) from recovered Abacha funds to finance military operations.
She was reacting to online media reports that accused her of illegally diverting the Abacha funds to the office of the former NSA. The money was returned to Nigeria in January 2015.
