WORLD BANK: Nigeria remains World’s poorest business destination

According to World Bank Doing Business Report 2016, Nigeria remains one of the poorest business destinations in the world, improving marginally by just one step from its ranking last year.

Out of 189 countries surveyed, Nigeria moved from 170th position with 43.56 per cent points in 2015 to 169 with 44.69 per cent points.

The World Bank said it was more difficult to do business in Nigeria in 2016 than it was last year. The country equally improved by just one step in 2014 to the previous position last year.

Nigeria’s 4 refineries repositioned to produce 10m litres of PMS daily - Ibe Kachikwu

The Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, said the nation’s refineries had been repositioned to produce not less than 10 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, per day.

Kachikwu stated this on Sunday during his official visit to Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC).

According to him, the mission of the visit was to ascertain the current state of the refinery and identify areas of challenges for the workers at the refinery.
