The DWL welcomes stories on any theme of no more than 5,000 words. The competition is open to writers around the world but stories should be written in English. One of three winners will receive the annual Dastaan Award worth PKR 50,000 (US$500). The other two winners will each receive PKR 15,000 (US$150). Winning stories will be considered for publication in Papercuts magazine. There is no entry fee and the deadline is 15 August.
