According to a reports, Nigeria federal lawmakers in the Senate and House of Representatives embarked on a six week recess on August 13th and will resume on September 29th. The National Assembly members received a sum of N93 million as recess allowance.
The allowance is reportedly 10 percent of the annual basic salary of the legislators as stipulated in the remuneration package for political, public and judicial office holders in Nigeria by the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
