Galley Beggar Press invites entries to its inaugural Short Story
Prize. The prize’s declared aim is ‘to sponsor nothing more and nothing
less than exceptionally good stories’.
Submissions are open to published and unpublished writers around the
world. The winning author will be invited to choose from a cash prize of
£500 (US$784) or a year of editorial support from the directors of the
Press. All long- and short-listed stories will be published
electronically.
Stories must be no longer than 6,000 words, and the cost of entry is £10. The deadline is 15 November.
