CCT: Nigeria Police vows to arrest Senate President

Aftermath of the refusal of The Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki to appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal today and the subsequent issuance of a bench warrant for the Senate president's arrest in his ongoing trial for false asset declaration, The Nigerian Police through the force public relation officer, Mrs Olabisi Kolawole told The Nation newspaper that Senator Saraki will be picked up any moment from now.

“We are going to promptly arrest the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and produce him before the Code of Conduct Tribunal on Monday. Since it is a bench warrant issued by a competent court, the order will be carried out without delay. We don’t want to pre-empt anything,”
