African writers/poets who have not yet had a full-length poetry book published get in here ASAP for the 2016 Brunel University African Poetry Prize contest. Worth £3,000 (US$4,640) to the winner, the prize aims to develop, celebrate and promote poetry from Africa.
The Prize is for ten poems in order to encourage serious poets. The Prize is open to poets who were born in Africa, or who are nationals of an African country, or whose parents are African.
The deadline is 30 November.
