King Penguin promoted to Brigadier in Royal Norwegian Guard

This King Penguin from Edinburgh Zoo was recently promoted to Brigadier in the Royal Norwegian Guard.

The Penguin named Sir Nils Olav III was awarded the prestigious title during a special ceremony at the zoo with 50 of Norway's guardsmen in attendance.

Sir Olav III marched down the line of soldiers standing at attention before he was presented with an insignia on his wing and saluted by an officer.

A 47-year-old consultant gynaecologist, Dr. Kalu Nwachukwu, accused of sexually abusing women, who went to his hospital for treatment, has been arrested by officers of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command. 

The doctor, according to police, gives his patients drugs that make them lose their bearings, after which he allegedly forced them to have sexual intercourse with him.

Finding buried treasure is everyones dream but for Jack Conway, a turf cutter from Emlagh bog in County Mesth, Ireland, his find is a bit weird. He was chopping turf at the bog when he came across a 22-pound chunk of butter at the beginning of June.

A 42-year-old woman, from Porthcawl, Wales who went swimming in the sea and suffered severe earache later, thought she had a perforated eardrum or an infection.

Victoria Price, visited the accident and emergency unit, and the nurse who attended to her discovered a 'chunky'spider had crawled into her ear.

She pulled out the 'live, wriggly' creature, remarking that it was 'twice as big as it first looked'.

Fortunately an examination showed the spider had not caused any problems.

Mother of 6 arrested after Toddlers were Found Chained Up In Back Yard

OMG this is so sickening! Police in Texas found two badly injured toddlers chained up in the back yard of a 34-year-old woman and another six young children found alone inside the house in San Antonio.

The officers found the disgusting scene after a late-night phone call about a crying child and the woman identified as Porucha Phillips, was arrested.

South African woman mauled to death by own dogs

A 32-year-old woman was mauled to death by her own dogs at a home in Pietermaritzburg city in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa on Monday.

ER24 spokesman‚ Russell Meiring‚ said the woman sustained severe bite wounds to her head‚ chest‚ leg and arms during the attack that occurred at about 11am.

“Unfortunately nothing could be done and the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.”

Wreckage of Plane found with 4 skeletons in dried lake 50 years after it crashed

A Piper Apache Twin Engine plane that went down over a lake in Argentina on October 19, 1964 has been found more than half a century after it crashed.

The discovery was made by a local who found part of the plane's wing after the lake evaporated.

The Plane had four people on board, the pilot and three engineers working for the Pan American Argentine Oil Company, when it went down into the Colhue Huapi lake in Argentina in 1964.
