Google Doodle celebrates famous Canadian Author Lucy Maud Montgomery

Today the literary world celebrates one of the greatest writer, poet and author in history 'Lucy Maud Montgomery' (November 30, 1874-April 24, 1942) publicly known as L.M Montgomery, who would have celebrated her 141 birthday today. 

Montgomery, was a Canadian author best known for a series of novels beginning in 1908 with Anne of Green Gables. 'Anne of Green Gables' was an immediate success. The central character, Anne, an orphaned girl, made Montgomery famous in her lifetime and gave her an international following.The first novel was followed by a series of sequels with Anne as the central character.

Artist creates Taylor Swift portrait with Gumballs

You will not believe this Super creative artist created this lovely Taylor Swift portrait with gumballs! Yes you read that right.

Artist Rob Surette created the portrait with 17,625 gumballs and it won him a $2,000 cash prize on the Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Unbelievable RipCycle Art Contest, in which contestants were challenged to make art out of everyday items.

Surette, said it took him roughly 100 hours to complete...

Archaeologists may have finally unmasked the mystery of the Mona Lisa Renaissance masterpiece by

Leonardo Da Vinci.

The enigmatic smile on the face of the woman in the painting has baffled art lovers for Centuries, but now experts believed to have found the tomb of the model's subject buried under the altar of a derelict Florence convent.

Carbon dating test on the bones of three women exhumed in Florence's Sant'Orsola convent points to the fact that Italian noblewoman Lisa Gherardini del Giocondo, was the sitter for the Rennaissance masterpiece.

RBC Focus: Filmmakers’ Immersion. Deadline 10 July

The trinidad+tobago film festival (ttff), in association with RBC Royal Bank, invites applications for the fifth annual RBC Focus: Filmmakers’ Immersion, to be held in Port of Spain, Trinidad, from 23 to 26 September 2015.

Applications are open to filmmakers from the Caribbean and its diaspora. The application deadline is 10 July.
